Ethan Baxter

In this section of work I had to manipulate images I photographed using Photoshop. In four of the works displayed I had to manipulate a house using a kaleidoscope effect. This was shown to us by Khaled Sabsabi during a school visit. I really enjoyed manipulating the images I took. It was lots of fun and you were able to use your imagination and be creative. I am very proud and pleased with the work I was able to produce. In the other works I had to manipulate a photo by showing how old style houses are being pulled down to make way for new apartments. This idea is shown throughout Ian Stranger's works. In the kaleidoscope works I wanted to show an understanding of the program and the skills behind it. The second body of work is an attempt showing the detrimental effect of demolishing old style housing and replacing them with unimaginative townhouses.
