This week I had to capture images showing a toy. I used black and white tone to manipulate the images to make the images more emotional. In the first image I photographed a doll. It is a well used toy that has been discarded. The water around the doll is meant to look like blood. This adds a dramatic effect to the image as it looks like the doll is bleeding to death. Sounds quite morbid and sick but it's all in the name of 'art'.
The other image showing a tea set that is taken at a high angle. The image uses shadow to capture the tea set highlighting the shape and form of each individual piece.
My inspiration for these images is about Sid's backyard in 'Toy Story' as it is about discarded toys coming to life. As a child I loved this movie and I am so pleased I was able to use the movie as inspiration for my work. "To infinity and beyond!"
